To welcome more foreign friends to visit China, enjoy a pleasant trip and a wonderful consumption experience, the Chinese government has launched a series of preferential policies (Issued on March 16, 2026, Document No. Shangfu Mao Fa〔2026〕No. 39) jointly by 9 national departments. I. Enrich Your Travel Experience in China
1.We are building the national tourism brand "Hello! China", integrating travel, shopping, study and medical services. A one-stop information service platform for international tourists will be set up to help you get all the travel information easily.
2.We will carry out targeted promotion around the world, using social media to show you a vivid China. Foreign teams are also welcome to come to China to shoot films and TV works.
3.We will provide a variety of travel products, including "multi-destination" premium routes, study tours and low-carbon travel. We will also optimize cross-border tourist trains and connecting flight services, and promote smart tourism to make your trip more convenient.
4.We will improve service quality, provide better foreign language services, train more multilingual tour guides, and optimize online ticket booking for popular scenic spots.
II. Facilitate Your Business Trips and Event Participation
1.We will optimize services for international exhibitions, provide visa convenience for participants, and set up service desks for foreign merchants to offer financial, logistics and legal services.
2.We support the introduction of world-class international events. Special green channels will be opened at ports for event ticket holders to enjoy fast border inspection. We also launch "event + travel" packages and related derivative products for you to enjoy the event and travel at the same time.
III. Enjoy Entertainment and Health Services in China
1.We will simplify the approval process for foreign commercial performances, develop "performance + cultural tourism" scenarios, and build international performance consumption areas for you to enjoy wonderful cultural and artistic activities.
2.We are building international medical tourism brands and agglomeration areas, providing high-end physical examination, plastic surgery, rehabilitation and nursing services. We will expand the scope of direct settlement of international commercial insurance and carry out pilot projects of traditional Chinese medicine services for foreign tourists.
IV. Experience Study and Training Opportunities in China
1.We will strengthen the "Study in China" brand, improve the training quality of international students, and optimize services for their employment in China.
2.We promote the export of Chinese language education, offer "Chinese + vocational skills" courses (such as Chinese + tourism, Chinese + high-speed rail technology), and support Chinese education institutions to develop internationally.
V. Provide Convenient Guarantee for Your Trip
1.We will optimize visa policies, expand the scope of unilateral visa-free countries, pilot e-visas and online application for entry cards, and simplify the approval process for relevant activities.
2. We will improve the inbound consumption environment, implement preferential tax refund policies for departure, increase multilingual signs, enhance payment convenience, and promote multilingual versions of life service apps (such as navigation, ride-hailing and food delivery).
3.We will strengthen policy coordination, improve data monitoring, increase financial support, and optimize digital services for foreign visitors in China.
