1. Qilou Old Street
One of China's Top Ten Historical and Cultural Streets, built in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, integrating Nanyang, Eurasian and Qiongnan residential architectural styles. The beige, light green and pink Qilou buildings are matched with arcades, carvings and shutters, showing the style of a century-old commercial port. There are time-honored buildings such as Daya Hotel and Qiu's Old House here. The Qiong Opera performances, coconut carving handicraft shops, and special snacks such as old salt lemon water and spicy soup rice in the streets and alleys condense the urban culture of old Haikou. The light show at night makes the old street glow with new vitality, which is a must-visit place to feel the historical context of Haikou.

2. Leiqiong Global Geopark (Haikou Volcano Group)
China's only urban volcanic geopark, with more than 40 volcanic relics. The core landscape, Ma'anling Crater, was formed 10,000 years ago and is the geographical symbol of Hainan Island. Here, you can not only climb to the top to overlook the panoramic view of the crater, explore lava tunnels such as Xianren Cave and Huolong Cave, but also visit the Volcano Science Popularization Museum to learn about geological knowledge. The surrounding Rongtang Village retains an 800-year-old volcanic stone house village. The primitive vegetation and rare plants on the volcanic rocks show the harmonious coexistence of volcanoes and ecology.


2. Wugong Shrine
Known as "Hainan's First Building", it was built to commemorate five loyal ministers and famous prime ministers who were exiled to Hainan, including Li Deyu in the Tang Dynasty and Li Gang in the Song Dynasty, carrying Hainan's unique culture of exiled officials. The scenic spots such as Hainan's First Building, Su Gong Shrine and Fusu Spring in the scenic area are scattered in an orderly manner. Su Gong Shrine commemorates Su Shi's lecture in Hainan when he was exiled. The ancient pagoda tree in the shrine was planted by Su Shi himself, and it is still lush after more than 900 years. The exhibitions in Dongzhai and Xizhai show the ancient culture and history of exiled officials in Hainan, and the red walls and green tiles are full of humanistic heritage.


3. Holiday Beach
Haikou's most representative open coastal scenic area, with 6 kilometers of soft beaches matched with the blue sea and sky with swaying coconut trees, is an excellent place for leisure and vacation. There is a lifeguard-guarded bathing beach here, where you can experience water sports such as jet skiing and banana boats. The sunset scenery in the evening is intoxicating. 4. Qiongtai Academy
Hainan's ancient highest institution of learning, built in the Qing Dynasty, is an important place for spreading Confucian culture and cultivating talents, and also one of the birthplaces of Qiong Opera. The Kuixing Building in the academy is magnificent, with exquisite carvings and paintings showing simplicity and elegance. It retains a large number of ancient books, inscriptions and historical cultural relics, showing the prosperity of ancient education in Hainan. Today, Qiong Opera performances, traditional cultural lectures and other activities are still held here, inheriting Hainan's humanistic context.


5. Hai Rui's Tomb
Built to commemorate Hai Rui, a famous honest official in the Ming Dynasty, it is an important cultural relic in Hainan. The cemetery layout is rigorous, and the stone statues, tombstones and mausoleums of Hai Rui are solemn and solemn. The stone figures, stone horses, stone sheep and other stone sculptures around are lifelike, showing Hai Rui's upright and honest character. The Hai Rui Memorial Hall in the park displays Hai Rui's life story and related cultural relics, which is an important place to promote the culture of integrity and understand the history of Hainan in the Ming Dynasty.


6. Haikou Bell Tower
Haikou's urban landmark, built in 1928, adopts Gothic architectural style. The bell ringing on the hour has passed through a hundred years, witnessing the changes of Haikou. The bell tower stands by the sea next to Qilou Old Street, with white walls and red roofs matched with exquisite carvings. It is not only a popular scenic spot for taking photos, but also an excellent location to overlook the scenery of Haikou Bay.
