The museum’s architectural design is inspired by the shape of oracle bone inscriptions, with a unique and modern appearance. It collects and displays a large number of cultural relics related to Chinese characters, including oracle bones, bronze inscriptions, bamboo slips, and calligraphy works, showing the evolution process of Chinese characters from ancient times to the present. 3. Yue Fei Temple
Located in Tangyin County, Anyang, Yue Fei Temple is a memorial building dedicated to Yue Fei, a famous patriotic general of the Southern Song Dynasty, who was born in Tangyin. The temple was first built in the Ming Dynasty and has been renovated and expanded many times since then, with a grand architectural complex including the main hall, the wing rooms, and the Yue Fei Mausoleum. In the main hall, there is a tall statue of Yue Fei, with a resolute and patriotic expression, and the couplet “Loyalty to the Country Through the Ages” hangs on both sides, praising his noble patriotic spirit. The temple also displays cultural relics related to Yue Fei, such as his handwriting and military supplies, and records his life story of resisting the Jin army and defending the country. 4. Hongqi Canal
Known as the “Artificial Tianhe,” Hongqi Canal is a great water conservancy project built by the people of Linzhou in the 1960s, under extremely harsh natural conditions and with simple tools. The canal is 1,500 kilometers long, crossing the Taihang Mountains, and diverts water from the Zhang River to solve the severe water shortage problem in Linzhou. The construction of Hongqi Canal not only reflects the arduous struggle spirit of the Chinese people but also created the “Hongqi Canal Spirit” of self-reliance, hard work, unity, and dedication. 6. Cao Cao’s Gaoling Ruins Museum
The museum is built on the ruins of Cao Cao’s mausoleum, a controversial historical site confirmed by archaeological excavations in recent years. Cao Cao was a famous politician, military strategist, and poet at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, with a complex historical evaluation. The museum displays the excavation process of the mausoleum, the cultural relics unearthed, such as stone tablets, bronze mirrors, and porcelain, and uses modern technologies to restore the layout and appearance of the ancient mausoleum. It also holds academic seminars and cultural exhibitions to discuss Cao Cao’s historical status and the cultural background of the Three Kingdoms period.
