Fangchenggang is located in the southern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at the southwestern end of China’s mainland coastline. Known as the "Southwest Gateway and Pearl of the Border", it is a charming coastal and border city integrating coastal scenery, border customs, ethnic culture and mountain ecology. It is famous for its tourism feature: "Climb mountains, enjoy the sea and travel abroad".
1. Major Scenic Spots
1.1 Bailang Beach (National AAAA Tourist Attraction)
Located on Jiangshan Peninsula, it is the most iconic beach in Fangchenggang. The sand is rich in titanium minerals, showing a unique dark brown color, known as the "Black Gold Beach". The beach is wide and gentle with rolling white waves, making it an ideal place for swimming, beach sports and wedding photography.

1.2 Wanwei Golden Beach (Jing Island Scenic Area)
Located in Jiangping Town, Dongxing City, it is the settlement of the Jing people – China’s only ocean-going ethnic group. The 15-kilometer-long beach has fine golden sand and clear seawater, facing Vietnam across the sea. Visitors can experience stilt fishing and enjoy the unique single-stringed instrument performance of the Jing people.

1.3 Dongxing National Gate Scenic Area
A first-class national port connecting China and Vietnam by land and sea. You can visit the solemn National Gate, China-Vietnam Friendship Bridge, the century-old "Qing Dynasty Boundary Tablet No.5", and stroll on the Vietnamese-style streets to buy coffee, durian cakes, rosewood crafts and other specialties.

1.4 Leshan Ancient Fishing Village
One of the best-preserved ancient fishing villages in Guangxi. It has ancient trees, old brick houses and coastal wooden walkways. Visitors can walk in mangroves, watch spectacular astronomical tides, go tide picking, fishing and taste authentic fisherman seafood feasts.

1.5 Strange Rock Beach
Located at the southern tip of Jiangshan Peninsula, it is famous for its unique sea-eroded landforms. The reddish-brown rocks stand steeply like cliffs, known as the "Red Cliff on the Sea". The waves beating against the rocks form a magnificent view, which is very popular among photographers.

1.6 Shiwandashan National Forest Park (National AAAA Tourist Attraction)
A "natural oxygen bar" far from the coast. The park is covered with dense forests, streams and waterfalls, with extremely high negative oxygen ion content. It is suitable for hiking, stream trekking and eco-health tourism, especially a perfect summer resort.

1.7 Butou Hot Spring, Shangsi County
Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the hot spring water is rich in minerals and presents a dreamy blue color. The water temperature stays around 42℃ all year round. Soaking in the hot spring among the misty mountains is an excellent way to relax during the trip.

2. Featured Culture
2.1 Jing People Culture (China’s Only Ocean Ethnic Group)
· Ha Festival: The grandest festival of the Jing people, held in lunar June, August or January. Villagers gather to worship gods, sing and celebrate.
· Single-stringed Instrument: A national intangible cultural heritage. It can play soft and melodious music with only one string.

2.2 Multi-ethnic Integration
Han, Zhuang, Yao, Jing and other ethnic groups live together here, forming a unique culture that combines Lingnan culture and border customs. The Zhuang’s "March 3rd" Song Festival and the Yao’s Panwang Festival are distinctive local cultural events.

2.3 Border History and Culture
As an important border town, Fangchenggang preserves many historical sites of the Sino-French War and the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, such as Bailong Ancient Battery and Liu Yongfu’s Former Residence, showing profound patriotic history.
