Yulin

Yulin, known as “A Bright Gem in Lingnan, a City of Beautiful Scenery”, is a prefecture-level city in the southeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with a history of more than 2,000 years. It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese, a national forest city and a national garden city. 1. Yuntian Cultural City (Yuntiangong)

Location: Jiangbin Road, Yuzhou DistrictHighlights: A landmark of Yulin, known as the “Little Potala Palace of Guangxi”. It is one of the largest single cultural buildings in China. The scenic spot collects a large number of wood carvings, stone carvings and bronze artworks, with a 30-meter-high bronze Maitreya Buddha statue as the treasure.

2. Rongzhou Ancient City and Zhenwu Pavilion

Location: Rongxian CountyHighlights: Zhenwu Pavilion is one of the Four Famous Towers South of the Yangtze River. It is built entirely of wood without any nails. The four pillars on the second floor are suspended in the air, which is a miracle in ancient Chinese architecture.

3. Xielu Manor

Location: Wushi Town, Luchuan CountyHighlights: Known as the No.1 Manor in Lingnan and one of China’s Four Great Private Manors. It combines the styles of Jiangnan gardens and Lingnan architecture, with elegant pavilions, ponds and quiet paths.

4. Darong Mountain National Forest Park

Location: Beiliu CityHighlights: The highest peak in southeastern Guangxi, known as “Western Yue of the South”. It has alpine meadows, lakes and forests with beautiful European-style scenery. It is very suitable for camping, hiking and summer vacation.

5. Duqiao Mountain Scenic Area

Location: Rongxian CountyHighlights: A typical Danxia landform and one of Taoism’s Thirty-Six Heavenly Grottoes. It is famous for strange peaks, deep caves and ancient cliff inscriptions.

6. Goulou Caves

Location: Beiliu CityHighlights: A famous Taoist karst cave with fantastic stalactites and underground rivers. Visitors can take a boat to enjoy the magical scenery inside the cave.

7. Tongshi Ridge

Location: Min’an Town, Beiliu CityHighlights: A rare scenic spot where Danxia landform and karst landform coexist. It is also an important bronze drum casting site in the Han Dynasty.

8. Colorful Pastoral Scenic Area

Location: Yuzhou DistrictHighlights: A national 4A-level scenic spot with beautiful pastoral scenery, flower seas and agricultural experience activities.

9. Yulin Garden Expo Park

Location: Yudong Lake Area, Yuzhou DistrictHighlights: It shows the garden styles of 14 cities in Guangxi. The Colorful Flying Pavilion and Feihong Bridge are the most popular landmarks.

10. Liuwan Mountain Forest Park

Location: Fumian DistrictHighlights: A natural oxygen bar with dense forests, clear streams and waterfalls, suitable for leisure and health trips.
