The Double Dragon Cave

Nestled in Luodian Town, Wucheng District of Jinhua City, Shuanglong Cave stands as the crown jewel of Jinhua Mountain's Shuanglong Scenic Area. This geological marvel comprises two chambers: the 1,200-square-meter outer cave, where stalactites resembling dragon heads adorn the entrance, earning its name. Accessible only by lying on a small boat, the inner chamber—3500 square meters in size—forms the "Dragon Palace" with its 12-meter-long, 30-centimeter-high fissure between the two caves. The interior features spectacular formations including stalactites, stalagmites, and pillars, collectively known as the "Thirty-Six Wonders." The area also boasts nearby karst cave clusters like Binghu Cave, Taoyuan Cave, and Chaozhen Cave. Formed from Paleozoic carbonate rocks through tectonic movements and water erosion, Jinhua Mountain's karst landscape was designated a National Key Scenic Area in 1985.

Zhuge Eight-Diagrams village

Located in Lanxi City, Jinhua, it is a settlement of Zhuge Liang's descendants, with over 5,000 villagers sharing the surname Zhuge. The village was originally built during the Yuan Dynasty, arranged according to the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams layout, with the bell pond as the center and eight small alleys radiating outward to form the inner trigrams. Outside the village, eight small hills encircle it, forming the outer trigrams. Inside the village, 209 ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties are preserved, including the Grand Ancestral Hall, the Prime Minister's Temple, and residential houses. The Grand Ancestral Hall, the ancestral temple of the Zhuge clan, was built during the Zhengtong period of the Ming Emperor Yingzong and has a history of over 600 years. The village also features an ancient commercial street arranged according to the Five Elements. Zhuge Bagua Village is the only ancient village in China with a Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams layout, and was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 1996.
